Ever have one of "those" weeks?
You know...this kind...
* Saturday...Wednesday last week my chiropractor put some sort of muscle tightening tape on my shins to help alleviate some of the aching that's been plaguing me. Before putting on the tape she sprayed on an extra adhesive so it would stay on for a few days. By Saturday it was itchy and starting to come off anyway so I just peeled it off. HA! Turns out I must have been allergic to the adhesive...nice rash. More on this later...
* Sunday...Parker's 12th Birthday. Parker had gotten sick last week on Wednesday. We kept him home Thursday. Got a call half way through the day on Friday that he wasn't feeling well again and brought him home. Sunday afternoon he got really sick. His stomach was cramping so bad he was in tears and he had both diarhea and vomiting...a LOT! Called the pediatrician who told me to take him to the emergency room at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. In the ER they hooked him up to an IV cocktail with a kick of morphine for the pain. They determined he had a stomach virus of some sort, admitted him for the night with a second IV and he was sent home early afternoon on Monday. What a way to spend your birthday, huh?
* Monday..home from the hospital. Doctor told him not to go to school until Wednesday.
* Tuesday...follow-up appointment with pediatrician. All is well. Oh...the rash on my legs...itchy, Itchy, ITCHY! It itched so bad it hurt. Pediatrician suggested Hydrocortisone cream. Okay...at this point...whatever works because it's driving me crazy!
* Wednesday...was supposed to pick up both kids from school to go to an early Karate lesson. Car wouldn't start. Battery.dead. Quickly called both schools with instructions for the kids to ride the bus home. Also felt a cold coming on...quickly. Coughing...achy...chills...more coughing...icky.
* Thursday...car still won't start. Scott tried to charge it...no luck. Called my daddy :) He and my brother will be here later in the morning to try to get it started...or run out and get a new battery. My cold has kicked in and the rash on my legs is still hanging in there. Both have kicked.my.butt.
So there you have it. One of "those" weeks. YAY!

BLESS. YOUR. HEART!!! You have been through the ringer!! all of you! Saying a prayer it all is up hill from here! Poor Parker! that must have been scary!!
