Psalm 46:10 ~ Be still and kow that I am God.

Psalm 46:10 ~ Be still and know that I am God.

"God will not shout above all the noise and busyness to make Himself heard. It's only as we slow the pace and lower the decibel level of our lives that we can do business with God."
~ Quote by D.L. Moody on Psalms 46:10 ~

FAITH UPDATE

Family and Friends:

On Friday, February 11, Faith will be at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, for another MRI and eye exam under anesthesia. We must be there at 7:30 AM.

Faith has been doing very well since her last exam in August 2010. She hasn't had any significant problems and even told me the other day that she hasn't seen "purple" in a long time (she saw purple when her seeing eye hemorrhaged in March and August of 2009 and again in March 2010).

Faith is doing really well in school and has not required many significant classroom changes to accommodate her. She participates right along with the rest of the kids, even though her good eye is about 20/60-70. She has two teachers for the blind that visit her in the classroom about every two weeks or so. Miss Barb and Miss Liz are a delight to Faith and from what we hear, she is a delight to them, as well. They basically observe her, spend some one-on-one time with her, while not making her feel "different." As Faith continues to grow and learn, Miss Barb and Miss Liz will gradually teach Faith (and us) to access the world around her with confidence and finesse. Faith has made lots of friends at school and one educator pulled me aside to tell me that Faith is a very sweet and kind little girl. *smile*

Faith does not know, yet, that she and I will be traveling to Rochester tomorrow. It makes her sad and anxious and knowing too soon can cause that anxiety to increase at school. It is best to wait until tonight.

Please keep Faith in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow. Pray for peace and comfort within her brave little heart. Pray for her eyes to be healthy. Pray that she can wake from anesthesia without a tummy ache and that her eyes don't hurt too much. Pray for the doctors, nurses and anyone that cares for Faith tomorrow that their hearts, minds and hand are steady and strong, while also gentle, compassionate and caring. Pray for safe travels for Faith and me. And...as is always my request...please pray for a cloudy, overcast day so the two and a half hour drive home won't be so hard on Faith's extremely dilated pupils.

I hope this message finds you and your family doing well.

Peace and blessings to your day.

Jeanine
