Friday
Scott's parents, along with the builder of our new home and his family, came on Friday night for a BBQ. We celebrated the new house and thanked them for building us such a lovely home.
Parker was not at the BBQ because he was at one of his best friend's birthday celebrations. His friend's mom picked up the boys in the middle school office at the end of the school day and they headed to Grand Slam for fun and games, a little laser tag and mini golf. From there they went to his friend's house for food, movies and fun. Parker arrived back home a little after 10:30 PM...and he.was.TIRED!
Saturday
Faith was invited to a birthday party Saturday afternoon for one of her best buddies in the neighborhood. They went to Dave and Buster's for food and games and then back to her friend's house to continue the celebration and for a sleepover.
Sunday
Faith got home mid-morning and late morning we went to my brother and sister-in-law's for the annual family picnic for my mom's side of the family. This is ALWAYS a fun event and we look forward to it every year. My mom is the oldest of nine children so there are lots of aunts, uncles, cousin's and their spouses, cousin's kids and now cousin's grandchildren. In all there are approximately 115 of us. Usually between 50-60 show up at the picnic. There is more food than any of us can possibly eat...but we try. There are yard games with old and young playing together. My brother hooks his hay wagon up to his tractor and away we go on a wagon ride through the country side. Here are some photos from this year's event:
